1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MakeYourPortfolio ("Platform", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MakeYourPortfolio.

2. Description of Service

MakeYourPortfolio provides a cloud-based platform that allows users to create, publish, and manage professional portfolio websites. Features include: customisable portfolio pages, project showcases, skills management, social link integration, analytics, and shareable public URLs.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription & Payments

Access to certain features requires a paid subscription. All plans are described on our Pricing page. By subscribing:

• You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for the subscription fee.
• Subscriptions are billed in advance for the selected period (30, 90, or 365 days).
• Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all content you upload, including text, images, and project descriptions. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and transmit that content solely to provide the Service. The Platform's design, code, and branding remain the exclusive intellectual property of MakeYourPortfolio.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or violates third-party rights.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Engage in spamming, phishing, or any form of malicious activity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data without prior written consent.

7. Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced via email where possible. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. You may cancel your account from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms with immediate effect. Upon termination, your public portfolio will be taken offline. Your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakeYourPortfolio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Maharashtra, India.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
